DARLINGHURST
HERITAGE EXTERIOR PAINTING
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Property & Setting: The Darlinghurst project focused on rejuvenating the façade of a classic inner‑city terrace home. The property features ornate parapets, decorative brickwork, verandah columns, wrought‑iron lacework and a small front courtyard typical of the heritage precinct.
- Scope: We completed a full exterior repaint of rendered and brick walls, timber verandahs, fretwork, iron balustrades, windows, doors, gates and fencing. All surfaces were cleaned, repaired, sanded and primed. Decayed timber was repaired or replaced.
- Finishes & Colour Palette: A refined heritage palette was chosen to emphasise architectural details. Crisp off‑white and light neutral hues were applied to walls, contrasted with darker accents on trims, railings and decorative ironwork. Durable low‑sheen and gloss finishes were selected to withstand urban conditions while highlighting texture and detail.
- Result: The Darlinghurst project has restored the terrace’s curb appeal while preserving its historic character. The refreshed colours and finishes highlight ornate features, providing a crisp, elegant façade that harmonises beautifully with the streetscape. This transformation offers long-lasting protection against the elements.
